Experience Lubec, Maine – this off-the-beaten path village is part of Maine’s Bold Coast - which offers a rugged coastal setting and natural beauty, combined with solitude and tranquility rarely found on other more frequented parts of the Maine coast. Spend a whole day in New Brunswick, Canada on Campobello Island, which is where President Franklin Delano Roosevelt once had his summer home.

 

Highlights of this tour include:

Spend 2 Nights at the Eastland Motel in Lubec, Maine – the easternmost town in the U.S., where the sun first rises • Spend a full day on Campobello Island on New Brunswick’s Bay of Fundy • Visit Roosevelt Campobello International Park including the Edmund S. Muskie Visitor Center, which contains exhibits and a video interpreting the Roosevelt story • Take a guided tour of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s “summer cottage” - which has been preserved and is almost exactly as it was in 1920 • Enjoy Eleanor’s Tea - explore the story of Eleanor Roosevelt and her life of activism and public service, led by expert interpreters in the historic Wells-Shober summer cottage • Take a guided island tour that explores beautiful view points and hidden-away gems while our guide shares historical facts and about today's island-living • Visit the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse and Museum - the easternmost beacon in the United States • Enjoy a traditional Downeast Lobster Bake • Services of a Professional Tour Director • Round Trip Luxury Motorcoach Transportation

 

Tour departs from Concord, NH ~ Maximum of 36 Passengers

 

International Travel:  All passengers MUST carry a valid U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card to travel between the United States and Canada. Passengers without proper documentation will be denied boarding and refunds will not be given. Travelers convicted of a felony or misdemeanor will not be allowed to cross the border.  

 

Activity Level: On this tour, participants can expect walking on potentially uneven or cobblestoned surfaces, as well as activities that require periods of standing. Outdoor activities will take place rain or shine.

 

Payment Terms: $150 per person deposit; plus the cost of Travel Protection, if purchased, required at time of reservation. Final payment due 90 days prior to tour departure.
