The new musical adaptation of the 1997 movie starring Julia Roberts will have its world-premiere this fall at the Ogunquit Playhouse! My Best Friend’s Wedding: The Musical is based on the wickedly funny film of the same name and features some of the most iconic pop anthems ever written by the legendary Burt Bacharach and Hal David.

 

Fiery food critic Julianne Potter has always turned her nose up at romance, which is why she broke up with her longtime boyfriend Michael. All that changes when he announces his engagement to his gorgeous and charming girlfriend Kimmy.  Suddenly realizing that she's actually in love with him, Julianne vows to stop the wedding at all costs! However, when she is appointed maid of honor, things get very complex - with his perfectly lovely fiancée Kimmy in the way, it’s not as easy as she thought. Can Julianne possibly bring herself to derail her best friend’s wedding?
