This hand-crafted tour features historic sites, charming French-Canadian villages, and local guides that will lead us along Inspector Gamache’s trail. This special tour will bring us into the world of Three Pines and its beloved characters like Inspector Gamache, Clara, Myrna, Ruth, Gabri, Olivier, and Reine-Marie. Visit an array of locations that have triggered Penny’s imagination and have served as her inspiration for the 15+ novels she has written, set in the picturesque region of Quebec.

Spend 3 nights in the heart of Old Québec at the 4-star Hotel Manoir Victoria – located within walking distance of the city’s landmark attractions and countless shops, restaurants, and historic sites • Take a guided walking tour of Quebec City based on Louise Penny’s best-selling novel, Bury your Dead - follow in the footsteps of Chief Inspector Armand Gamache and explore Old Québec city’s narrow streets with our guide and see with your own eyes the places that inspired Louise Penny • Visit the Morrin Centre ~ a favorite spot of Gamaches’ during his time in Quebec City, and a nationally recognized heritage site and leading English-language cultural center • Dine at the landmark Aux Anciens Canadiens Restaurant, located inside the oldest building in Old Québec and internationally recognized for its authentic Quebec cuisine and warm hospitality • Travel to the Charlevoix region with a local guide and visit the village of Baie-St-Paul ~ a charming and picture-perfect town considered one of the Canada’s cultural capitals, known for its lovely streets, inviting cafes, and art galleries • Enjoy lunch at the Manoir Hovey, a 5-star historic manor nestled along the shores of Lake Massawippi in the Eastern Townships and the inspiration for the Manoir Bellechasse featured in The Murder Stone

 

Tour departs from Concord, NH ~ Maximum of 36 Passengers

 

International Travel: All passengers MUST carry a valid U.S. Passport or U.S. Passport Card to travel between the United States and Canada.  Passengers without proper documentation will be denied boarding and refunds will not be given. Travelers convicted of a felony or misdemeanor will not be allowed to cross the border.

 

Activity Level: Due to the historic nature of the hotel, there is not an elevator from the street to the lobby level. There is an elevator to the rooms, but there are stairs from the street to the lobby. Please note, activities on this tour requires walking on potentially uneven or

cobblestoned surfaces. Outdoor activities will take place rain or shine.

 

Payment Terms: $150 per person deposit; plus the cost of Travel Protection, if purchased, required at time of reservation. Final payment due 90 days prior to tour departure.
